Having successfully completed a Masters Degree from University College, London in 2003, his research was based on giving scientific validity to the Enjoyable Dentistry TechniqueTM. The scientific results he obtained proved beyond a shadow of doubt that up to 98% of patients can consistently benefit from pain-free, comfortable and relaxed dentistry and that up to 95% of patients can further experience dentistry that is truly enjoyable.
Dr Bashar Al-Naher has two diplomas in clinical hypnosis. He has also completed his Masters Degree (MSc.) in Clinical Hypnosis applied to dentistry. Dr Bashar’s application of clinical hypnosis has gained much credibility and his research into and knowledge of clinical hypnosis has also enhanced his ability to make the Enjoyable Dentistry Technique™ more effective and powerful.
The passion for inventing the Enjoyable Dentistry TechniqueTM arose from seeing patients in pain during dental treatment.
Because I care for my patients, I wanted to find a technique that would allow all patients to have totally pain-free dentistry that would be comfortable and even enjoyable if possible… This set me off on a mission of inventing such a technique. After many years of research into a variety of fields including dental sedation, psychology, self-development, local anaesthesia, the nature of pain and similar topics, I was able to invent the Enjoyable Dentistry TechniqueTM.

Why overcoming nervousness matters
It’s human nature to put off the things we enjoy least, but some things really shouldn’t be left. Dental treatment is one of those things. It’s extremely common for people to feel some degree of nervousness or anxiety about visiting the dentist, but the greater the anxiety, the more likely you are to delay treatment or avoid it altogether.
Around 12% of patients in the UK have an “extreme dental anxiety”. In some cases it can be so severe that the patient never visits a dentist. As you might expect, that can have a dramatic effect on the health of their teeth and gums, but also on their general health.
That’s why we established the Enjoyable Dentistry TechniqueTM.
Removing the nerves from every dental treatment
The curious thing about being a nervous dental patient is that the nerves can vary from treatment to treatment. For some, stepping foot through our door can be a challenge (although one we successfully help them overcome). For others, cosmetic treatments may not create concern, but general dental treatments will. Or perhaps you are relatively content with a simple check-up and polish, but feel less secure about fillings.
The beauty of the Enjoyable Dentistry TechniqueTM is that it is effective across all dental treatments. So whether your nervousness stems from a specific procedure – such as dental implants, bridges, veneers or root canal treatments – or the whole experience, it really is possible to not only experience dental treatment without the nervousness, but to enjoy it.
We would love to show you what that feels like. Book your appointment today.
